New Years week. Big thanks to Irina and Micke for such a nice week in Säfsen. It was planned as a trip to skiing resort, but happened to be a tough training camp.
Already first day/evening I learned a lesson: "It's not a good idea to go for a long night run on unfamiliar terrain with the map older than Yourself". The forest has changed and quite a lot. Big part of it was cut down, power lines were gone and few new roads have appeared in the middle of nowhere. That shocks You a little, especially in the dark when the map is the only friend You have at that moment.
Other days I was a little more careful. But still it was a very good practice in slope orienteering.
Here are some maps from that week.
