The following week I put OS little aside and
concentrated more on running. Some short intervals, uphills and longer reps.
Nice and easy legs before Sunday trail run in Haninge.
The
course was really challenging: 16.7km with lots of uphills, turns, some dirty
marshes… My main goal for that morning was not to start too fast and keep the
same pace all over the course. I think I managed it quite well. Even though I
couldn’t follow the first group of runners of about 6-7 guys but I had a good
pace.
First
few kilometers I was alone between first and second group of runners, but then
one guy from second group caught me and we continued together. Anyway, I slowed
down little bit at the end (or maybe he pushed harder) and came to the finish
alone with time of ~68min. I was satisfied with the race and the result.
Moreover, I was happy that I didn’t give up at those hard moments when it looks
like You can not do anymore. Just after run my stomach went crazy. I couldn’t
eat anything all day and in the evening I ran a fewer. All night I felt like in
sauna and lost a lot of liquids.
So
this Sunday became a brake point where I was forced to push THE RESTART button.
All
the following week (10.21-27) I felt like shit… Laying in bed all day, sleeping
14-18h, eating, reading,… and still didn’t have strength. But after the weekend
I decided that this is enough and I have to move forward.
