Step #6

Was lazy to write all three weeks... But now it is time to get over it!
Not much is left in my head from this week, but Saturday middle race I remember nicely.
Firstly, the competition centre was in forest area, which is quite rare thing in OS. But I liked it… Secondly, the terrain was fast but of course map reading was essential.
I started with extra safety in map reading to get into it, but after few controls I felt the flow (It felt so good!) and increased the speed. It worked all the way and I was really happy to have this magic feeling all the way. But when there was left only two more controls before finish and both so close to the arena I got the idea that I did a good race and that was the moment of the mistake… Those few seconds leaded to leaving the control with imprecise direction and the biggest mistake of the race.
The lesson is learned. No relaxation before You have punched the last control!
The Sunday was completely different…
After those 3 last beeps I was still not sure how I want this race to look like. Last Saturdays long distance left me with doubts about my shape. I was afraid of that burn-out feeling once again.
So I had doubts all the race and the shadow of mistakes had me…
Know what You want and stick with it! That would be the second lesson from this week.

After all, it was a big step forward.
